Confirmation Preparation 2024
“For ‘by the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit’.” – CCC 1285
Now is the time! Confirmation is an amazing sacrament to encounter God powerfully and be filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit to grow in faith.
If your son or daughter is in Grade 6 or older and wants to be Confirmed, please register by January 24th through the form below
Below are the required events/components:
- A 20-minute faith inventory meeting with Colm and parent/child (scheduled in person or via Zoom as needed)
- 3 Sunday afternoon sessions
- Sunday, January 28th, 1 -3 PM
- Sunday, February 11th, 1-3 PM
- Sunday, March 10th, 1-3 PM
- Diocesan Confirmation Retreat facilitated by Face to Face Ministries
- Saturday, March 2nd, 9-3 PM (held at Saint Anne’s, register here)
- Choosing a Saint name for the confirmation,
- Light at-home reading/activity for parents, youth, and sponsors.
- Youth going to the Sacrament of Reconciliation before getting confirmed.
- Confirmation Mass
- Tuesday April 9th, 7 PM
We strongly encourage your youth to take advantage of other supplemental faith opportunities throughout this journey that you will be invited to!
The fee for Confirmation Preparation is $30 for covering materials. Payment can be made through the online registration. The diocesan retreat held on March 2nd (register here) has an additional cost of $20. If the fee for either is a barrier to participation for your child, please let us know.
