Ecumenism Report
John read the report submitted by Margot Taylor:
-On January 21st during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, St. Anne’s
hosted Morning Prayer and continental breakfast for approximately 50 people.
Thank-you to Karen Schreiner who assisted in writing up the order of service
and to several parishioners who volunteered to help with hospitality.
-On Wednesday, March 24th at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Cathedral,
there will be an Ecumenical Prayer Service on the eve of the Episcopal
Ordination of Msgr. Donald Bolen. All are welcome to attend.
-On Thursday, February 11th, St. Anne’s hosted a meeting of the
Saskatoon North-End Interchurch Group, chaired by Margot. Due to poor
attendance at these meeting since September 2009, it was decided to suspend
further meetings until which time clergy and their congregations showed
more interest and support for ecumenical endeavors.
Co-ordinating Committee Meeting Update – February 18th
- St. Anne’s will be receiving a rebate for $42,000 from the Bishop’s
Annual Appeal. Our target assessment was increased to $89,000.
-The schedule is to pay off the debt in 5 years.
-A new speaker system has been purchased for the hall so there is not
so much echo and feedback. Acoustic paneling may be put up on the drywall
to help with the sound quality.
- A budget update was circulated.
Confirmation of Representation at Episcopal Ordination
- A raffle will be held for the 4 tickets available to attend the Episcopal
Ordination on March 25th.
Saskatoon Deanery Diocesan Congress Day Report
-John circulated a report, outlining the Congress Day. The theme was building
and sustaining community. Each parish is asked to understand and be aware
of who our parish community is so that we can best help, serve and meet
the needs of our faith community. The outline of the report is available
at: www.saskatoonrcdiocese.com/congressday2/
Parking/Fire Lane
-Cars are parking in the driveways to the north and east of the church
building and are blocking access, especially for ambulances that are unable
to get to the building.
-No Parking signs will be erected and Father Darryl will address this
issue at liturgies.
Holy Week
-The members of Parish Pastoral Council will have their feet washed at
the Holy Thursday liturgy and will then wash other people’s feet
in the congregation.
-A coordinator is needed for the Agape Meal, as well as for the breakfast
on Good Friday and Holy Saturday. A call for volunteers will be put in
the bulletin.
Correspondence:
Spectrum Core Community Services
-There was a request for financial support. No decision was made and this
request was tabled. Rosemary mentioned that Station 20 West is also seeking

to dealt with. The original amount of money that each church contributed
will be returned and the additional monies will be divided equally between
